Josh Turpen – Vice President, Operations
As head of the day-to-day operations at DataFive Josh’s role covers business and technology. Leading the assessment and implementation processes means that Josh must translate a client’s business needs into technical reality, a task for which he is aptly suited. During a career in which he has taken a leading role in classified Department of Defense projects, massive multi-state billing and collection operations and the nation’s largest bike sharing system; Josh has become familiar with taking unique business challenges and implementing them with varying technologies.
In addition to running the assessment and implementation departments, Josh is responsible for R&D. DataFive is currently working on systems using Microsoft Kinect and mobile devices to deliver a unique experience for data consumption and interaction. DataFive also works with partner companies on projects that interest our developers, but may not fall into the traditional business intelligence arena.
Josh holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and is a Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer (MCSD). He is temporarily living in Germany with his wife where he enjoys traveling, history, reading, skiing, scuba diving and tinkering with electronic gadgets.
