Phil Pickering – President & Co-founder
Phil has extensive experience with high-technology, consulting, management and business process development. As Director of Operations at a software consulting company Phil was responsible for organizational operational excellence, including defining strategy and execution of business intelligence initiatives. Phil built several teams from scratch to introduce new service lines to the business, delivering substantial revenue growth and new business opportunities for the organization. Prior to his Director position, Phil managed multi-million dollar projects in the semiconductor design industry. Phil’s extensive engineering and management experience has developed into a keen ability to solve technical and business problems using a top-down approach that ensures the solution meets the intended objective.
Phil graduated with a BS in Electrical Engineering from what is commonly referred to as “the best engineering school no one has ever heard of” – Rose Hulman Institute of Technology in Terre Haute, IN.
Asked why he founded DataFive: “Business intelligence is big business, but it should be bigger. There is a real opportunity to introduce business intelligence to a swarm of business leaders that have not been exposed to the potential of data visualization and interactivity. In the end we want to enable our customers to spend more time answering important questions about their business.”
